China’s Ghost Cities and Malls

Tell me if you’ve heard this story before:

Vast new cities of apartments and shops are being built across China at a rate of ten a year, but they remain almost completely uninhabited ghost towns.

“Yes, I think it will make the United States pale in comparison. It is said that there are 64 million empty apartments in China.” -  GILLEM TULLOCH

“But units here are selling – the vast majority as investment properties whose owners live in other parts of China.”
