Here I stand with my fellow navigator as we stand upon our conquered territory in Banff National Park.

Welcome to The Ends Of The Web. This page is here to showcase the photography of Brad Stewart as desktop pictures and to provide a resource for other random things.

The Ends Of The Web was first put on the internet in August of 1998. At the time the site only contained six desktop pictures. Since then it has grown to over 3 dozen desktop pictures and 6 startup screens with many more pictures sure to come. The Ends Of The Web hit a milestone on July 1st 1999 when it went over the 10,000 hit mark.

Nearly all of these pictures have been taken by myself in my travels around the world. Some of my destinations have included Los Angelas, Las Vegas, Phoenix, Seattle, Reno, Orlando, Paris, Amsterdam, Honolulu, Cancun, and Puerta Plata.

Before I took the huge plunge into the inner depths of a higher education I took a little break off and headed for the hills with my best friend Andy. Technically, I guess that we also headed for the plains, the mountains, the ocean, and the desert. Andy and I headed west from the Twin Cities and ended up in Seattle after 27 hours of driving. Fun....um, yes. After a brief 2 hours in Seattle, we boarded a couple of ferries and went to Victoria on Vancouver Island for 2 nights. We decided that the best way to go home would be through Canada and we could then make it to Banff National Park.

Ever planning on going to Alberta or even driving through it? Well, this is what it looks like, at least I think it was Alberta, it could have been Manitoba, maybe Saskatechewan...they all looked the same.

Often times I escape the endless flats of the earth, unfortunately when crossing Canada after visiting Banff National Park on our tour of the west I didn't escape this fate. Although the picture looks nice, guess what was over that hill at the end of the road.....the same thing....for 10 hours... And that hill, it's the horizon, there wasn't a hill during that 10 hours...I think our Explorer was the tallest thing in all directions for at least 400 miles.

What does the future hold for The Ends Of The Web? More pictures hopefully. There are many pictures with-in my records that are only waiting to be scanned. What are some possible future collections? Expect some Desert/Arizona pictures, a final addition to the Hastings Collection, continued additions to the Milwaukee Collection, and as usual the Kitchen Sink will continue to fill up with the orphan pictures.

Please stop back again, the future holds great promise.

Sincerely,
Brad Stewart
